Richie Fargas - Producer x Remixer x DJ

The team went up to London last weekend to shoot a short documentary on the talented young beat maestro Richie Fargas. Soon after arrival to Fargas’, safe to say, kitted out studio, we found ourselves hit with a bombardment of wobbly baselines, 90’s influenced House loops and MEAN Hip-Hop snares. We had no choice but to screw our faces up and nod our heads to banger after banger as he made his way through an extensive library ranging from Dubstep and Grime to Reggae and DnB.
So after the levels were turned down and after an exclusive interview, it is obvious that Fargas has some very interesting tricks up his sleeve for the UK music scene. With on going collaboration along side mad-hatter lyricist James Pyke, 2012 is looking very promising indeed. James Pyke & Richie Fargas’ mixtape entitled ‘The Wave’ is available now to download (http://www.pykeandfargas.com). The popularity of the EP spurred on the production of the music video ‘The Weekend’ performed by James Pyke & Richie Fargas featuring vocals from the gorgeous and talented Natalie Wood » Click here to see the video «. At Deja Vu FM’s ‘We Play Music Live’ event on Sunday, Richie introduced a number musicians, many of which are undergoing collabs with him at present. One of these musicians is extremely talented singer/songwriter Dionne Reid. Her charm and charisma hit us instantly and then she stepped on stage… The rest is history. After listening to some exclusive tracks currently being worked on by the duo, it became apparent that we are in for a treat when it drops!
